This satellite service is a 2 way service that does not require any connection to a phone line or similar.

Available speeds go up to 2Mbps download and 512Mbps upload.

This system is excellent for watching streaming video, music, software downloads and general Web browsing at high speed.

Although the performance is similar to ADSL, there is an inescapable latency due to the distance to the satellite and back so multiplayer games and VoIP traffic will suffer a bit from this.

If you are not able to get ADSL, there is a Government subsidy scheme that will fund the hardware for you assuming you qualify for this.

While we do not directly offer a registered Broadband Connect service, Scoastnet is an agent for the Activ8me service registered under the Broadband Connect subsidy scheme and we can help you with this process.
