ScoastNet dialup PPP Setup for Macintosh Using Config PPP
Setup for MacPPP Dialup
Initial MacPPP Setup
Install MacPPP by dragging both the PPP extension and the Config PPP control Panel to the System folder on your hard disk and restart the machine.
After the restart, open the MacPPP Control Panel under the
Apple Menu, select a "New" Config for the "PPP Server" & name it 'ScoastNet'.

Un-select the "Terminal Window" checkbox on the main Config PPP window, if it is selected and select the port your modem is connected to.
Press the "Config Button" and set as below.

Click on the Authentication button and enter your user name and password as supplied by ScoastNet. If you leave the password field blank, it will need to be entered during the connection.

Now, click Ok/Done on the Scoastnet PPP Server Setup window, returning to the main ConfigPPP Control Panel.
Ensure that the PPP Server is set to Scoastnet (or the profile/config name you created).
Close ConfigPPP Control Panel & it's often best to restart your Mac at this point.
Upon restart, open your ConfigPPP Control Panel & select the 'Open' button to connect using your PPP Username to the Internet via Scoastnet.
If you have problems connecting, please note any error messages and send Email to help@scoastnet.com.au or call the Mac O/S help line on 0418487211 between 9am and 6pm
